Vol. 6 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WOLFHILL COLLIERY RAILWAY—LAND ACQUISITION.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that a number of persons whose land was compulsorily acquired by the Government in 1917 for the purpose of building a railway from Athy to the Wolfhill Collieries, have not yet been paid the compensation agreed upon between the Board of Trade and the owners of the land, and if he will undertake to have them paid without further delay?

In a number of instances there has been difficulty in proving the title to lands acquired for this purpose, but all outstanding cases have recently been examined, and most of the money due will have been paid before 31st March next.
