Vol. 6 No. 27

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - PAYMENT OF WITNESSES' EXPENSES.

asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether the Gárda Síochána have power to withhold sums granted by District Justices to witnesses for expenses at their own discretion, and whether, if this be not the case, he will order the payment of £1 awarded by Mr. Cussen, D.J., to Mr. M. Scully, of 92 Middle Abbey Street, at Rathcoole Petty Sessions, on the 21st of December, 1923.

Mr. O'HIGGINS

I am informed that the award referred to was not made at all. The question, therefore, does not arise.
