Vol. 6 No. 38

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ARREARS OF DEPENDENTS' ALLOWANCE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received repeated applications from Mrs. Cunningham, Harbour Street, Mountmellick, Leix, for arrears of dependents' allowance due on behalf of her sons, Joseph (01167), Frank (17410), and Thomas (17394) Cunningham, and if he can now state when he will be in a position to pay the amount due.

One application was received from Mrs. Cunningham and two from a solicitor acting on her behalf. The latter was informed on the 10th ultimo that the maximum allowance now issuable to his client in respect of her son's service in the Army is 28s. per week. The account is clear up to the 22nd ultimo, and the arrears due from that date up to the 31st ultimo will now be paid.
