Vol. 7 No. 2

ORDER OF BUSINESS.

May I ask the President what will be the course of business for to-day? We have a very long agenda, and there have been different versions as to the business to be taken. Can we now have some definite light on it?

Items 1, 2, and 3 are formal, to keep the Dáil informed of the progress of Private Bills in the Seanad. Item 4 needs a motion of approval from the Dáil, which, if opposed, will stand over, but, if not opposed, will be taken at once. Items 5 and 6, giving the two messages from the Seanad, are put down in accordance with Standing Orders. They are put down on the Order Paper in order that the Dáil may decide when they are to be considered. The other business is Government business.

Can the President say when he hopes to take the Railway Bill?

Perhaps the President can state what we are going to take to-day first?

I propose to take Nos. 7, 8, 12, and then 9.

When do you propose to take the Railway Bill?

I do not hope to be able to take it sooner than Thursday.
