Vol. 7 No. 2

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CO. CLARE ANNUITY.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he has received from John O'Dwyer, Clonlara, Co. Clare, a claim for a reduction in his annuities in respect of his farm because of its depreciation consequent on the Courthouse situate thereon being abandoned; and whether he is prepared to consider such an application in the light of the fact that the purchase price of the farm was enhanced by the income derived from the Courthouse by the purchaser.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission are unable from the particulars furnished to identify the particular case referred to, but they have no power to reduce land purchase annuities charged on holdings purchased under the Land Purchase Acts.
