Vol. 7 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLOGHEEN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the opening of a district hospital in Clogheen, Co. Tipperary, has been delayed owing to the fact that the proposed hospital is occupied by the Gárda Síochána, and if he will take the necessary steps to see that other accommodation is provided for the Gárda Síochána so that the hospital, in accordance with the amalgamation scheme, may be established immediately.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, the County Board of Health were recently asked their intentions in regard to the provision of a hospital at Clogheen. So soon as their reply is received I will take any necessary action in the matter.
