Vol. 7 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - SUGGESTED PURCHASE OF KILDARE LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he is aware that the owners of Rosebery Farm, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, containing 299 acres which formerly was part of the Vesey Estate, are believed to be willing to sell the land for division amongst twenty uneconomic land-holders in the immediate neighbourhood, and whether the Land Commission will shortly be in a position to deal with this matter.

The lands referred to appear to be the part of the townlands of Rosebery and Hawkfield, which were purchased by the tenants under the Irish Land Act, 1903. The attention of the Land Commission has been called to these lands, and they are making inquiries as regards them.
