Vol. 7 No. 9

COMMITTEE OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS. - ROAD FUND (ADVANCES) BILL, 1924.—FIRST STAGE.

In the absence of the Minister for Finance I beg leave to introduce this Bill. It is to enable the Government to discharge the obligations which it undertook when making an announcement on the road scheme some time ago. The Road Fund has no funds, and this is a proposal to enable money to be borrowed in respect of it.

Question: "That leave be given to introduce the Bill"—put and agreed to.
Second Stage ordered for the 21st instant.
