Vol. 7 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - OFFALY ARRESTS.

asked the Minister for Justice if he can state the reason for the arrest and detention of Joseph Reynolds and Michael Fennell, Welsh Island, Geashill, Offaly, at present detained in Mountjoy Prison, and if he will recommend their release at an early date.

These prisoners are detained on suspicion of having been concerned in the commission of the crime of arson in connection with an agrarian dispute. Inquiries have been set on foot as to whether they may now be released without danger to the public safety.
