Vol. 7 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - DIVISIONING KILDARE ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he has received a memorial from uneconomic holders of land in the Ballymore-Eustace district, Co. Kildare, asking for division amongst them of the Lynch estate, situate at Whiteleas, Ballymore-Eustace; and, if so, whether he will direct the inspection of said lands with a view to their division.

A communication in respect of the lands referred to, addressed to the Minister for Agriculture by the Rev. C. Finnegan, C.C., Ballymore-Eustace, on behalf of the tenants of small holdings in the district has been transmitted to the Land Commission.

A rental schedule to enable the Land Commission to collect, under the Land Act, 1923, compound arrears of rent and payment in lieu of rent from the tenants on the estate has been lodged by the landlord. The further particulars to enable the purchase of the estate to be proceeded with have not yet been lodged, and when lodged the estate will be dealt with in due course, when the question of the acquisition of the untenanted lands will be considered.
