DEFENCE FORCES (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 (CONTINUANCE AND AMENDMENT) BILL, 1924.—FIRST STAGE.

I ask leave to introduce a Bill to continue and amend the Defence Forces (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923. It is proposed that this new measure, if passed, should expire on the 31st March, 1925. This Bill contains practically all the main provisions of the existing Acts, and there are no very important amendments.
