WRITTEN ANSWER. - DONEGAL VOLUNTEER'S DEPENDENT'S ALLOWANCE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state why a claim for dependent's allowance was refused to Mr. Brabazon, father of Volunteer Peter Brabazon, No. 20557, Military Police, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, in respect of the service of his son; if he is aware that previous to enlist ment this Volunteer was employed as a labourer, yardman, etc., and was paid £2 per week, with free board, 30s. per week of which he contributed to the home, and that for some months previous to getting the above employment he was engaged as a workman at £3 per week, was living at home and contributed £2 10s. 0d. per week to the home.

A cheque has now been sent to Mr. Brabazon in full settlement of his claim for dependent's allowance.
