Vol. 7 No. 24

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - THOMASTOWN INTERNEE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is in a position to release Denis Noonan, of Thomastown, Kilfinane, at present detained in Hare Park Camp, No. 2698, Hut 3, D Line, in view of the fact that the prisoner's father holds a passage to the United States for this man.

Denis Noonan was sentenced to death by a military tribunal on 4th April, 1923, for the unauthorised possession of arms and ammunition. On the same date the sentence was commuted to one of three years' penal servitude.

This sentence is under consideration, and a decision will be conveyed to the Deputy in due course.
