Vol. 7 No. 24

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - FRIARSTOWN (LIMERICK) UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why unemployment benefit was stopped from Patrick Sheahan, Friarstown, Grange, Co. Limerick, for the period from April 3rd to April 12th, 1924, in view of the fact that this man's card was fully stamped.

Patrick Sheahan, of Friarstown, Grange, Co. Limerick— Book No. Limerick 23306—lodged a claim for unemployment benefit on the 8th March, 1924, and received payment of benefit up to and including the 2nd April. The forms furnished as evidence of unemployment subsequent to the 2nd April were not properly completed and were returned for amendment. The benefit outstanding cannot be paid pending the completion of further enquiries which the Department has found it necessary to make.
