COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ACTS, 1920 to 1923 (MONEY RESOLUTION).

I beg to move:—

Chun críche aon Acht a rithfar sa Siosón so chun na hAchtanna Arachais Díomhaointis, 1920, go 1923, do leasú agus chun crícheanna a bhaineas leis sin, go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú—

That for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to amend the Unemployment Insurance Acts, 1920 to 1923, and for purposes connected therewith, it is expedient to authorise—

(1) go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar i dtaobh síntiúisí gcóir an Chiste Díomhaointis ar son daoine áirithe a liostáladh i bhFórsaí Mileata Shaorstáit Eireann; anna Arachais Díomhaointis, 1920

(1) the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any expenses incurred in respect of contributions to the Unemployment Fund for certain persons enlisted in the Military Forces of Saorstát Eireann;

(2) go dtabharfar amach as anbPrímh-Chiste no a thora fáis aon tsuimeanna is gá chun fiachaisí an Chiste Díomhaointis fé sna hAchtgo 1923, mar a leasófar leis an Acht san iad, d'íoc;

(2) the issue out of the CentralFund or the growing produce thereof of any sums required for the purpose of discharging the liabilities of the Unemployment Fund under the Unemployment Insurance Acts, 1920 to 1923, as amended by such Act;

(3) go muirearófar ar an bPrímh-Chiste no ar a thora fáis colann agus ús aon urúsanna a tabharfar amach chun iasachtaí d'fháil fén Acht san, agus aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar i dtaobh tabhairt amach na n-úrús san.

(3) the Charge upon the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof of the principal and interest of any securities issued for the purpose of borrowing under such Act, and of any expenses incurred in connection with the issue of such securities.

The cost of the Bill to the State, including contributions and lending to the Central Fund would be roughly about £200,000, and as about £150,000 of that is borrowable, it should be ultimately recoverable.
