Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - KILRUSH COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received from Anthony Dunleavy of Kilrush, Co. Clare, a claim for compensation in respect of his car, and if he will expedite the consideration of this claim with a view to early payment.

I am informed that this claim was investigated by the Minister for Defence, who considered £100 a reasonable sum to pay by way of compensation. A Paying Order for this amount was sent to Mr. Dunleavy's solicitor on the 24th March, but was returned by him. No further action has been taken.
