Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - DAMAGE TO DUNMANWAY PROTESTANT HALL.

PÁDRAIG O hOGÁIN (for Tadhg O Murchadha)

asked the Minister for Finance whether a claim for compensation in respect of the occupation of and damage to the Protestant Hall, Dunmanway, Co. Cork, by National Troops has been received from Rev. Canon Wilson, Dunmanway, and whether a settlement of the claim will now be made.

A partial claim has been received by the Commissioners of Public Works from the Rev. Canon Wilson in respect of loss of profits and damage to and loss of furniture and effects following on the military occupation of the Cox Memorial Hall, Dunmanway, and the Commissioners are awaiting a further claim in respect of structural damage before proceeding with the investigation of the entire claim.
