Vol. 8 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REDUCTION OF POSTMAN'S WAGES.

EAMON O DUBHGHAILL

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he can state why the wages of Patrick Deegan, Rathglass, Tullow, an auxiliary postman, have been reduced from £1 8s. to 12s. 5d. per week; and whether, seeing that Deegan has to support a wife and six children on this salary, he will reconsider this case with a view to granting a more adequate wage.

I am having inquiry made in the case and will communicate with the Deputy later.
