Vol. 8 No. 1

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ACCOUNT FOR GOODS.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Defence if he will expedite payment of the sum of £52 0s. 8d. due to Mr. Michael Bergin, Connolly Street, Nenagh, for goods supplied to the Military Canteen at Nenagh.

The Canteen at Nenagh Barracks is run not by military but by civilian contractors. At the time the goods in question were supplied the contractors were Messrs. A. Dunne and Company, of Burgh Quay, Dublin. The goods were therefore supplied by Mr. Bergin to that firm and not to the Army. In the circumstances his account is not one for payment by the Department of Defence and Mr. Bergin was informed accordingly on the 17th instant.
