CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - CHEMISTS IN ARMY SERVICE.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he can state the number of persons at present holding appointments as pharmaceutical chemists in the Army Medical Service, and of such persons, how many are qualified and registered as pharmaceutical chemists under the Pharmacy Act.

There are at present 8 officers holding appointments as pharmaceutical chemists in the Army Medical Service. Every one of these officers is qualified as Licentiate of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, or is a Licensed Compounder of the Apothecaries Hall of Ireland, either of which qualifications is accepted.
