CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - CREE (CO. CLARE) CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received from Mr. John Brown, Cragganock, Cree, Co. Clare, a claim for compensation in respect of his son, Thomas Brown, who was killed in action at Tullycrine, and upon whose earnings his father was entirely dependent; and whether consideration of his claim will be expedited.

A gratuity of £60 payable in instalments of £5 a month has been awarded to Mr. John Brown. Two instalments have been paid to date.
