Vol. 8 No. 5

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - TULLOW OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

EAMON O DUBHGHAILL

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has received an application for an old age pension in respect of James, Cranny, Boggan, Kilbride, Tullow; and whether, in view of the fact that a sworn affidavit as to his age has been furnished to his Department, he will expedite the payment of pension.

This claim was disdisallowed on the 10th May last, on the ground of insufficient evidence of age. A letter asking for an affidavit was sent to the Deputy on the 14th February last, but I cannot trace that it has since been received.

If, however, the claimant is now in a position to produce more definite or conclusive evidence of age, it is open to him to make a fresh claim to the pension officer in the usual way.
