Vol. 8 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - IMPROVEMENT OF LIVE STOCK.

DONCHADH O GUAIRE (for Seán O Duinnín)

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that cattle-breeders throughout the Saorstát are anxious to know if the Bill for the Improvement of Live Stock will be introduced before the Summer Recess, or, if not, whether he will publish a rough draft or outline of the proposed Bill in the Press, as it is important for those interested in the scheme to know, not later than September 1st, 1924, what class of sires will be favoured and the proportion of the different breeds of cattle if the Act is to be put into operation for the Spring of 1925.

It is proposed to introduce the Bill for the Improvement of Live Stock before the Summer Recess, but it is unlikely that, in the time available, it can be passed through all its Stages before the adjournment.
