Vol. 8 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR A PENSION.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the cause of delay in granting pension to Mrs. Kavanagh, 2 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin, in respect of her son, Volunteer Henry Kavanagh, No. 4319, who was killed at Charlemont Bridge, Dublin, on March 14th 1923, and who was the sole support of his widowed mother; and if instructions will be issued to have payments made without further delay.

Mrs. Kavanagh's claim was received on the 9th May last. It has been investigated as quickly as circumstances would permit, and is now on the point of being assessed. Payment of any award made will be effected without avoidable delay.
