asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received a claim for £13 9s. 6d., arrears of pay for service in the National Army from Mr. Charles Furey, of Tyrconnell Street, Donegal; whether this claim was duly certified by the Command Quartermaster at Finner Camp and filed on 6th February, 1924; and whether he will state the reason for the delay.

Owing to the very large number of similar claims received, many of them, prior to Mr. Furey's, it was not practicable to deal with his at an earlier date. A decision is now about to be taken in the case.
