COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE BILL, 1924—MONEY RESOLUTION.

I move:—

Chun críche aon Achta a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun socrú níos fearr do dhéanamh chun oibreacha dréineála i Saorstát Eireann, a dineadh fé sna hAchtanna a bhaineann le dréineáil tailte in Eirinn, do choinneáil suas, do dheisiú agus d'fheabhasú, go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú—

(1) go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas leath, ar a mhéad, de lán-chostas na n-oibreacha a déanfar in aon cheanntar dréineála fén Acht san, agus gach costas d'áireamh a ghabhann le déanamh na n-oibreacha san;

(2) go roímh-íocfidh Coimisinéirí na nOibreacha Puiblí, amach as airgead atá fé n-a gcúram agus is féidir a thabhairt amach ar iasacht, suim is ionann agus an cion a bheidh le soláthar ag na Coimisinéirí de chostas aon oibreacha a déanfar fen Acht san.

That, for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to make better provision for the maintenance, repair and improvement of Drainage Works in Saorstát Eireann, executed under the Acts relating to the Drainage of Lands in Ireland, it is expedient to authorise—

(1) the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of not more than one-half of the total cost of the works executed in any drainage district under such Act, including all expenses incidental to the execution of such works;

(2) the advance by the Commissioners of Public Works out of moneys under their control and applicable to loans of an amount equal to the proportion to be provided by the Commissioners of the cost of any works executed under such Act.
