Vol. 8 No. 20

COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - VOTE 37—DUNDRUM ASYLUM.

I move:—

"That a sum not exceeding £9,243 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1925, for the Expenses of the Maintenance of Criminal Lunatics in Dundrum Asylum."

On behalf of Deputy Cooper I desire to ask a question on this Vote, on a matter I know he intended to raise. As I am partly responsible for the district in which this Asylum is situate, I am taking the liberty of asking the question, which is in relation to the number of attendants and the number of patients in their charge.

I have not the information at the moment, but I will undertake to get it and supply it to the Deputy in the course of a week or so.

Vote put and agreed to.
