Vol. 8 No. 20

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DAMAGE TO PREMISES (KILTIMAGH).

asked the Minister for Finance whether the claim of Mrs. K.M. Freeley, of Thomas Street, Kiltimagh, for damage done to her stock and premises by British Forces on the night of the 27th March, 1921, amounting to £756 16s. 0d., has yet been settled, and, if not, whether steps will be taken to have settlement of same expedited.

The claim of Mrs. K.M. Freeley, referred to by the Deputy, was duly considered by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission and has been ruled by them to be outside the scope of their terms of reference. It is not possible at present definitely to state whether this case will be dealt with by any body which may be constituted to deal with matters not falling within the Commission's terms of reference.
