Vol. 8 No. 21

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - MACROOM MERCHANT'S ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that an account is due to Mr. M. McSweeney, hardware merchant, Macroom; and if he will expedite settlement of same.

Accounts amounting to £453 13s. 11d. were received from Mr. McSweeney, who has been paid £200 on account by the military authorities in Cork. Portion of the account is being dealt with by the Office of Public Works, and I am informed that a cheque for £167 17s. 8d. will be issued to Mr. McSweeney by that Department within the next few days. The remainder of the account is still under investigation. It is expected that it will be settled shortly.
