Vol. 8 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - POSITION OF MEN “ON THE RUN.”

asked the President if he will state the position as it affects men "on the run"; whether these men and also escaped political prisoners may return to their homes without running the danger of arrest.

All men against whom criminal charges do not lie can return to their homes without fear of arrest. If there be any doubt in particular cases of the existence of such charges, enquiry should be made of the Police Authorities.

Will the Minister drop the prosecutions against people charged with bank robberies, considering that the persons who gave orders for bank robberies are now free?

If the Deputy will give me information as to those who gave orders for bank robberies, I will have the necessary steps taken to see whether they should be prosecuted.

The President knows who they are quite well.
