Vol. 9 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TRADE LOANS ACT ADVISORY COMMITTEES.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what persons have been appointed as members of the Advisory Committees under the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Act, 1924; and, further, what applications have been made to date for guarantees under this Act.

The Advisory Committee under Section 1 of the Act consists of Mr. D. Telford, Mr. T.P. Dowdall, and Mr. L. Smith Gordon. The Committee under Section 2 is similarly constituted with the addition of Mr. W.J. Fahy and Mr. Thos. McCloskey.

These names have already been announced in the Press, but they are restated here for the benefit of the Deputy, who, apparently, sets no store upon information conveyed to or by the Press, either in an official, open or anonymous way.

A number of applications have been received under the Act, particulars of which, if they are approved, will appear in the reports to be submitted to the Oireachtas in accordance with Section 6 of the Act.
