Vol. 9 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BRIDGES ON RIVER MAIGUE.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that there are four broken bridges over the River Maigue which have not yet been made safe for traffic, and that one of them, the Fort Bridge, which had been temporarily repaired, gave way under a heavy lorry early this month, and that the Creamery at Colman's Well will have to close down in view of the fact that the greater portion of the supply of milk came over that bridge to the Creamery, and whether he will call the attention of the Limerick County Council to the fact that the repair of broken bridges ought to have first consideration in the upkeep of the roads.

I have not been able to obtain the detailed information asked for, but I am in communication with the County Council on the subject, and I shall let the Deputy know the result at the earliest possible moment.
