CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - STUDENTS OF AGRICULTURAL COLLEGES.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state how many students attended the Agricultural Colleges at Glasnevin, Clonakilty, Athenry, and Ballyhaise respectively during the sessions of 1921, 1922 and 1923, and what fees were paid by the students attending each College during each session; what acreage of land is rented for the purposes of the Clonakilty station and school of the Agricultural Department, and what rent is paid; also what acreage of land is rented for the purpose of Ballyhaise station and what rent is paid.

The particulars asked for in the first part of the Question are set out in the form of a Table and I will hand a copy to Deputy McKenna in a few minutes.

In regard to the concluding portion of the question as to acreage and rent, the figures are as follows:—Area of land at Clonakilty Agricultural Station, 349 acres, 1 rood, 31 perches. An annuity amounting to £149 19s. 10d. in respect of this land is paid to the Irish Land Commission.

The area of land at Ballyhaise Agricultural Station is 738 acres, 2 roods, 12 perches statute. This land is the Department's property, so that no rent is paid.
