Vol. 9 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT IN WOOLLEN INDUSTRY.

LIAM MAC SIOGHUIRD

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) how many woolen factories in the Saorstát are at present working on short hours, and approximately how much disemployment this entails; (b) what is the value of woollen manufactured goods imported into the Saorstát during the six months ended September 30th, 1924.

A reply to the first part of the question involves inquiries at a number of local offices of the Department, which there has not been time to complete. I will supply the desired information to the Deputy as soon as it is received.

The reply to the second part of the question is £.
