Vol. 9 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - THE DUNALLY ESTATE.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission has acquired, or propose to acquire, the lands on the Dunally Estate at Kilboy, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, and, if so, if he will state what progress has been made in the negotiations for purchase, and when the Land Commission hopes to be in a position to parcel out the lands between uneconomic holders and labourers.

Steps are being taken by the Land Commission to acquire the lands referred to. A proposal to purchase the lands under Section 36 of the Land Act, 1923, has been issued to the owner. When the lands are acquired they will be allotted as expeditiously as possible.
