Vol. 9 No. 7

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - VALENTIA HARBOUR CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will have inquiries made into the cause of the delay in payment to Mr. E.T. O'Neill, Renard Point, Valentia Harbour, of the sum of £115 17s. Od., due for use of motor-boat and for services rendered to National Forces between Valentia Island, Cahirciveen, and Valentia Harbour, from August, 1922, to November 15th, 1922; and if he will give instructions to have the matter settled without delay.

Mr. O'Neill's account was discharged on the 27th instant by a payment of £107 0s. 6d. The delay, which is regretted, in effecting this settlement was due to pressure of work in the Department concerned with the matter.
