Vol. 9 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RETURN OF SEIZED GUN.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will expedite the return to Mr. Thomas McInerney, Ballyea, Tiermaclane, Co. Clare, of a gun, his property, seized by the R.I.C. on March 27th, 1918, and for which a receipt is held by the owner.

Mr. McInerney's gun will be returned to him by the Chief Ordnance Officer, Island Bridge Barracks, Dublin, when he furnishes the receipt referred to in the question, and also a firearm licence authorising him to possess the gun now. He was requested by the Chief Ordnance Officer on the 29th August last to forward the documents I have mentioned.
