Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar deontaisí le húdaráis áitiúla fé aon Acht a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun leasú do dhéanamh ar Acht na dTithe (Saoráidí Tógála), 1924, ach nách ná suim Thrí Chéad Míle Púnt a bheidh sa lán-tsuim a deonfar fé Acht na dTithe (Saoráidí Tógála), 1924, maraon leis an lán-tsuim a deonfar fén Acht san a rithfar sa tSiosón so.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment of grants to local authorities under any Act of the present Session to amend the Housing (Building Facilities) Act, 1924, provided that the aggregate amount of grants made under the Housing (Building Facilities) Act, 1924, together with the aggregate amount of grants made under such Act of the present Session shall not exceed the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Pounds.

The Bill simply gives the Minister for Local Government and Public Health power to make grants to local authorities in the same way as to private individuals. It is not proposed to increase the total amount of money available, so that no new charge really falls on the Exchequer.

Motion put and agreed to.
