Vol. 9 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSION REDUCTION.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why a reduction has been made in the old age pension of Mrs. Elizabeth Boles, of Camross, Co. Wexford.

A pension of 6s. a week was allowed on the 30th January last in this case as from the date of the receipt of the claim. Mrs. Boles is under 80 years of age, and her pension would, therefore, be subject to review under the Act of 1924. On her means a reduction would be necessary in the application of the means schedule contained in the new Act.

Is the Minister in a position to state how her means were arrived at?

By the usual method under the Act.
