Vol. 9 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FINNEY (MAYO) CLAIM.

LIAM MAC SIOGHUIRD

asked the Minister for Finance if the claim of Mrs. Martin Joyce, Finney, Co. Mayo, for compensation in respect of the loss of her son, Martin Joyce, who was murdered in December, 1922, has been dealt with, and, if so, if he will state what is the amount of the award and when it will be paid.

The application referred to by the Deputy has been investigated by the Compensation (Personal injuries) Committee, who have recommended that an ex-gratia grant of £350 should be paid. It is hoped to discharge the award at a very early date.
