Vol. 9 No. 12

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - CLAIM FOR GOODS TAKEN BY NATIONAL TROOPS.

SEAN O DUINNIN

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what is the cause of the delay in paying Mr. William J. FitzGerald, 64 Parnell St., Limerick, a sum of £194 9s. 9d. for goods taken by National. Troops in July, 1922 and whether he will have the claim investigated with a view to an immediate settlement.

Mr. William J. Fitzgerald's claim for £194 9s. 9d. was discharged on the 6th instant by a payment of £170. The delay in the matter was due to the difficulty in obtaining verification as to the actual quantity of goods stated to have been commandeered by troops.
