Vol. 9 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COMMANDEERED MOTOR CARS.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Minister for Finance if, and when, compensation will be paid to persons whose motors were dismantled, and in some cases commandeered, by British Forces in 1920-21, and whether a Commission has been set up for this purpose, and, if so, who comprise the Commission, and where intending claimants should apply to.

Claims of the kind referred to by the Deputy will be considered by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission under extended terms of reference which it is hoped to issue to the Commission at a very early date. In the meantime, it would be advisable to address any communication relative to claims to the Commissioners at their offices, 5 Ely Place, Dublin.
