Vol. 9 No. 25

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BUNDORAN LADY'S CLAIMS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received from the County Court Judge of Donegal a report dated 19th February, 1924, in favour of Miss Mary Frances McBride, of Bundoran, for the sums of £200, £33, and £8 for motor car, petrol, and accessories, and if he can state when payment may be expected.

Reports recommending payment of the amounts referred to have been received, and are at present under consideration. I will have them dealt with as expeditiously as possible.

Will the Minister take steps to get this paid as early as possible? I can assure him that the money is very urgently needed.

These are some of the cases in which that particular Judge made reports for amounts that were grossly excessive, and considerable investigation is necessary.

Would the Minister consider giving something in those cases within a reasonable period?

I will consider that.
