Vol. 10 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - AN UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state why a claim for Unemployment Benefit was disallowed to Thomas Murphy, Lackabeg, Ferns, Co. Wexford.

Exhaustive search has failed to find any record of a claim to Unemployment Benefit by Thomas Murphy of Lackabeg, Ferns, Co. Wexford. A claim made at the branch office in Tullow, Co. Carlow, on the 15th December by a man of the same name, who gives his address as Lackabeg, Co. Carlow, was disallowed on the statutory ground that the claimant was not unable to obtain suitable employment.

If I supply the Minister with evidence will he undertake to look into the matter again?
