COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - MONEY RESOLUTION—HOUSING BILL, 1925.

I beg to move:—

Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholá- thróidh antOireachtas aon chostas fé n-a raghfar i bhfeidhmiú aon Achta a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun soláthar tithe comhnaithe do chur in usacht agus, chuige sin, chun a údarú go dtabharfar deontaisí do dhaoine agus d'údaráis áitiúla a sholáthróidh tithe den tsórt san, chun Achtanna na dTithe (Saoráidí Tógála), 1924, do leasú agus chun forálacha eile do dhéanamh a chabhróidh chun tuille tithe comhnaithe do sholáthar: Ach gan méid iomlán na ndeontaisí a deonfar fén Acht san do dhul thar suim Trí Chéad Míle Punt.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to beprovided by the Oireachtas of any expenditure incurred in carrying into effect any Act of the present Session to facilitate the provision of dwell inghouses and for that purpose to authorise the making of grants to persons and local authorities provid ing such houses, to amend the Hous ing (Building Facilities) Act, 1924, and to make other provisions contri buting to an increased supply of dwellinghouses: Provided that the aggregate amount of the grants to be made under such Act shall not ex ceed the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Pounds.

The Message prescribed by the Constitution has been received from the Governor-General.
