Vol. 11 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TIPPERARY COAL FIELD.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has any information concerning a vein of coal stated to exist near the village of Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary; whether he can state what type of coal is obtained there; who is the present owner of the vein; if the coal is to be found in commercial quantity, and if his Department will take any steps towards having the coal worked.

If the Deputy will be good enough to supply me with information sufficient to identify the precise place where this vein of coal is stated to exist by reference to the townland and name of occupier, I will have enquiries made into the matter and communicate the result to him.
