Vol. 11 No. 18

SUPERANNUATION AND PENSIONS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1925—FIRST STAGE.

I beg to move the First Reading of the Superannuation and Pensions (Amendment) Bill, 1925. I think the title of the Bill fully describes its purpose:—

A Bill to extend the residence qualification for the receipt of an increase of pension under Section 6 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1923.

I would like if the Minister gave us a little more information as to the intentions of this Bill. What particular class of pensions does it refer to?

Teachers' pensions, sir.

Will you object to that?

Question put and agreed to. Second Stage ordered for Tuesday, 26th May, 1925.
