CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ROAD RECONSTRUCTION FUNDS.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when the money which has been allocated to county councils for road reconstruction will be made available.

Each county council was notified on the 29th April last of the sum which had been allocated to it for the improvement of trunk roads and was invited to submit proposals for the expenditure of the amount notified. The amount is immediately available and is payable in instalments subject to the proposals being approved and according to the progress of the work.
