Vol. 12 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM (CO. KILDARE).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware of the delay in paying unemployment insurance benefit to Dominick Coyne, of Allenwood, Robertstown, Co. Kildare, Book No. 8658, Droichead Nua Branch Office, who lodged a claim on March 23rd, 1925, and whether he will have payment expedited.

Dominick Coyne, of Allenwood, Robertstown, Co. Kildare, U.I. Book No. (Dublin) 8658, claimed unemployment insurance benefit on the 26th March, 1925, at the Droichead Nua Branch Employment Office. A comparison between the signature appearing upon his claim with that appearing on his original application for his Unemployment Insurance Book revealed a discrepancy which it was necessary to investigate before benefit could be authorised. The matter has now been satisfactorily adjusted, and Mr. Coyne's claim has been authorised for payment of twenty-eight days' benefit. Payment of any benefit due to Mr. Coyne will accordingly be made to him on Friday next at the Droichead Nua Branch Office.
