CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIMS FOR MILITARY PENSIONS.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of applications received for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, also the number rejected and the number allowed.

The number of applications received is approximately 20,300, the number rejected is 7,948, and the number passed for payment is 339. There is an addition to that 339 of 99 cases where the pension was illed owing to the men not having sufficient service to warrant them getting any pension.
